The Best and Most Important Part of a Natural Skin Care Cleansing Routine - Oil Cleansing Method

Would you like to make your own natural facial cleanser that is tailored to your specific skin type and will leave your skin dewy, free of blackheads, and pimples? Well, look no further! It might sound too good to be true, but the oil cleansing method, which only requires castor oil and a secondary oil such sunflower oil and olive oil, can achieve just that.

Castor oil has many beneficial properties, including bringing down inflammation, healing, and cleansing, but using it by itself is too drying so you need to dilute it with a secondary natural oil. The oil cleansing approach follows the basic chemistry principle “like dissolves like”. By using natural oils to cleanse your skin, you are dissolving the oil that has hardened in your pores and carries impurities that create skin problems such as blackheads and acne. Steam is then used to open your pores, allowing the oil to be easily removed.

My skin type is on the oilier side, and I had acne-prone skin growing up, and it remained with me until I was a young adult. My skin has cleared up since I got rid of all of the harsh chemicals in my personal care products, but I found that I would still have blackheads and the occasional pimple when my hormones are out of wack. Since using the oil cleansing method, I find that my skin is much brighter and clearer, and my blackheads have almost disappeared!

For detailed instructions on the oil cleansing method, I recommend visiting the Oil Cleansing Method website. It has great tips and tricks that I found very useful. You can also add a natural and gentle exfoliating ingredient to the oil cleansing method. Learn more about it here.
